To contact an old friend

How do i trace someone i have not seen for nearly twenty years, my rambling club is having a get together of past and present walkers. The last i heard of him was that he went to live in Sheffiled and got married but lost contact after that.
Is there any way, website or otherwise, that i can trace my old rambling buddy?

There's a lot of this kind of thing on the websites of my local paers so you could try that, also friendsreunited has a lot of people on it, I have been contacted by people from years ago through that site. If you were really keen the D Mail has a missing/found section which you could ask to be featured in, maybe the Sunday Mail come to think of it.

192.com isn't cheap but it might be useful to you. (You can start by looking for your friend's name. If it shows up from the phone book listings you'll see the details for free. If it's only available from the edited electoral roll you'll have to pay for his contact details but at least you won't have to pay if nothing shows up):

You could just try googling his name. Or try genes reunited. I managed to track down a friend from 30 years ago who had moved to the states because her sister was a member
