Well I'll give you a start...a Miss Daisy is clearly a driver, as in the film Driving Miss Daisy.

Apart rfom one site that suggests the "Boski" is actually Ivan Boesky, the disgraced Wall Street inside trader, I can't find anymoree complete answers on the Web. Let's just give the scriptwriters their dues and say Well Done for coming up with a single line that still has us debating and researching and wondering all this time later!

I'd guess that the Jethro refers to Jethro Bodine, a character in the hughely succesful american 60's comedy "The Beverly Hillbillies". Jethro was a very stupid but amiable and very strong young man, who would do exactly (and literally) what he was told.

Ok this one's been really bugging me so i watched the film again last night and decided to try and work out the answer to this one. As far as i can see it (though i'm not convinced about some of my reasoning) a "boesky" is a businessman (the guy with the ulcer) ala the Boesky chap who apparently swindled wall street, A Jim Brown is reference to James Brown and i presume means basically a black guy, a miss daisy is a driver (the brothers who kept scrapping with each other), 2 jethros - no idea or why they're called that, a leon spinks is a fighter (after Mr Spinks himself) and an ella fitzgerald i assume is a pickpocket (ella = pianist = light fingered) which was played by Matt Damon. what does everyone else reckon to my reasoning?
