I am confused! Have just gone onto BBand from dialup and access it via Mobile dongle which gives me 3gb over a month for £15

I only go online for emails and to look at web pages occasionally and was told that I would not overun my monthly allowance.

So, if I view say a programme on I player - does this count as say a 30min download for say Eastenders, or does it count as streaming (what's that?) as a friend told me so there is no cost.

Help please!

Thanks

Yes it counts. Any internet access counts towards your monthly usage.
I'd start ignoring some of your friends if I was you.

Streaming video is just about the heaviest user of your bandwidth you could possibly do!
EVERYTHING you look at on the internet is downloaded to your PC (every bit of text, picture, video etc).

Generally text and a pictures are quite small.

Compared to them video is HUGE.

As a simple example, if an email or picture is equal to one grain of suger, a short video will two BAGS full.

Why are you only getting 3GB? I get 15GB for £15 per month with 3 mobile.

yes 15gb for £15 per month - the only drawback (which isn't one as far as I'm concerned) is that you sign up for 24 months
