why cant people stick to one name on here !!!!!!

I dont know why but its really bugging me that so many answerbankers use more than one name on here.
it doesnt always have to be for troll type purposes
i dont get it??? why ????
why cant you just stick to one name then what you see is what you get people then believe what you write about yourself more.
like i said yesterday im starting to have my doubts about one or two users on here and how "genuine" they are . ITS not a life or death situation or nothing just somthing thats bugging me a little, there ive said i feel better now .... and breathe lol

i certainly didnt want to start world war three with this i certainly didnt want to pi55 people like yogi off its just its really confusing to know who im talking to now and whilst i might know some people have 3 names i could go away for a few days they have come up with one more and i dont know about it !!!!! its getting more confusing i just dont know who is who any more, if what people say is genuine what is in fun what is serious, im done with posting on here for a little while i think its getting very complicated

I had to use another name for a weekend as something/body on AB wouldn't let me on as lardhelmet. When I had to use the other name I signed myself lardy anyway

its my pet hate as well, not just because its unnecessary and confusing, but because the Ed made a point of banning people who used multiple addresses then all of a sudden allowed some people to have multiple usernames.

Im not having a go at anyone, it just does not seem fair to make a rule then bend it to suit yourself.

Can see your point Cazzz, however (you knew that was coming didntcha?) the folk who were banned with multiple usernames were banned for other reasons as well, not that alone. And all they did with those usernames were use them for further abuse.

I was not referring specifically to banned users b00, The Ed made it clear that multiple usernames were not acceptable as part of the rules. The only time he changed his opinion is when I asked him specifically where he stood with users like yogi who had multiple usernames.

a lot of users had more than 1 id long before this Ed came about though, and if they are only back up and not used to abuse, then there is no problem imo

i think you could pair off every user with at least one other, as you are quite limited to what a keyboard has on it.

Cazzzzzz....I think he allows it for the reasons I said. We become so familiar that sometimes we don't feel like we can ask a question in our own name. There are some people on here with photographic memories.....it could be dragged up and thrown in your face any time in the future. So I think he stuck with the 'as long as the other user name is nice'

can see what you are saying steg but maybe the ed needs to reflect "acceptable muliple IDs" in the Site Rules to avoid confusion..rather than a blanket "no multiple IDs"
