I have an Acer Aspire 7520 which now has a black screen. I have been told that the bios needs to be flashed. I have downloaded flashit.exe onto a new USB mem stick, as suggested and held down Fn and Esc whilst switching on the PC After about five seconds I then release the keys and await the activity light on the memstick to flash to show flashing the bios but it doesnt show any activity. Can anyone help with this process?
I appreciate any advice CG

Can you access the bios (press and hold F2 key immediately after switch-on) ?

Assuming you managed to get into the bios, checked that d2d is active, checked what password is in the security tab, you should then be able to restore to factory default when you save and reboot, whilst holding down alt+f10 keys
