The simple answer is to paste it as plain text.
You don't say which word-processor you are using but in Word2007, paste it as follows:
Underneath the word paste on the stupid Ribbon, is a tiny down-arrowhead.
Click the arrowhead, choose Paste Special
From the list of options select Unformatted Text, and click OK

As rojash has said, you've not said what word processor or what version so it's really hard to give a definite answer.
A work around that will work with any version of any word processor is to open notepad paste the text into there and then copy it again, notepad will only deal with plain text so pasting and copying it again using notepad will remove all formating.
