For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I would think this will be near to impossible to answer xyzzy...it depends on how you define a Scot....Born in the country or if both parents are Scottish....what about 2nd or 3rd generation people living in places like Canada or New Zealand? and rather than too many I'd say not enough.....not until we outnumber the engmen anyway!
Sorry to disagree xyzzy but I do notice the Welsh accent. As an Englishman who has lived in Scotland for the last 32 years I now find that I notice English accents more than Scottish ones. I must admit though that I can't distinguish a Canadian accent from some other American accents.
As for eliminating some Scots - well, only sft :-)
Gef - thank goodness! I thought it was only me! A lot of the threads in all the categories have gone doolally! What's going on AB?? (Perhaps a Q for 'How it Works') xyzzy, just to get back on to the Q in question, my great granddad was Scottish but I'm English - would you count me as a Scot living in England? :-)
