word count missing??

Hey there, i've had a mac for years and never had to use or do a word count but yip now I do but the thing is I can't find it anywhere......there has to be a way to know how much I've typed besides actually counting the words myself....

If you are using Word or Pages there is a word count on the bottom bar

If you're using Windows 7, the word count is definitely at the bottom of the page. The very first time I typed a document using this, it took me half-an-hour to work out where it was! Much prefer XP ....

I have a word count box on the toolbar at the top of my document in Windows 7... same in Microsoft word 97-2003.

The OP said they have a mac, so not windows at all.

Also, the word count is nothing to do with windows no matter what version you have, I assume you are talking about the word count on word, which is part of microsoft office, in which case it depends on which version of office you have installed as to where it is.

it's a mac....and i've never downloaded a windows application (would take up too much space)
but thanks to chuck, who gave the website to do a word count....ta
