iPhone query – Contacts

I have recently bought an iPhone and transferred my contacts from my SIM to the iPhone.

I would like to have these available to me on my computer and be able to sync them, but the only option seems to be through my Outlook contacts.

I don’t want to use this method as my phone contacts are about 100 names such as ‘Peter mobile’, and Outlook is fullof about 500 random e-mail address with no phone numbers, most of which I rearely (if ever) use.

I would love a really simple solution to this!

as long as it has firmware v2.0 or later then Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar -> Import SIM Contacts
