Is the Plan the equivalent of “building a German cultural centre at Auschwitz”
or
a worthwhile demonstration that Muslims are welcome part of the New York community?

I do believe human beings possess an innate spirituality, but I think those who worship the God of Abraham have made a huge blunder because if there is a God, it’s not him. You mention Satan, but that God (?) slaughtered millions whereas Satan killed ten. There is evil in this world - but it comes from man - and often from the man who worships that God. No surprise really, since we are told that man was made his image. And did God help those people? No, he didn't - even though he is supposedly compassionate and all powerful. As I said, it’s a bigger question than you realise. :o)
I was speaking to an American lady from New Jersey who travels daily to her office near ground zero. There has been what she described as a "crappy" mosque in the locality for years and it was damaged on 9/11. The muslim population seek to build a new bigger mosque to replace the other. She also said that a large proportion of visitors to the site of 9/11 are muslims seeking to teach their children the horrors of radical islamism. These facts not reported by press here.
