You want to limit immigration so do away with ID cards. You want to limit Street crime so do away with Street cameras. Good idea or Wot ?

Excellent ideas. Law enforcement is not acceptable at any cost. And since ID cards will achieve next to nothing as far as illegal immigration is concerned, and nothing regarding legal immigration, and CCTV has proven to be of limited use preventing crime, good riddance to the all Big Brother paraphernalia. Civilisation needs to mean freedom for individuals, or it is not worth much.

We are used to seeing CCTV images of louts who have been convicted using the photographic evidence supplied by the cameras.
The cameras did NOT prevent the assaults in the first place.......they only aided *after the fact detection*..........

I didn't say NO-ONE changed their mind..............but the ones caught on CCTV certainly didn't, did they ?
