It must have been a ghost! Have you ever seen one?

I've just had the strangest conversation with my brother - when I went down to the Devon show last week, i was driving back to the farm, and I'd stopped to close the gate behind me after I'd driven through. coming up the lane was an old guy, who has known me all my life - he used to have a real old fashioned Iron Mongers shop, one of those that sold screws and nails by the 1/4 pound etc, anyway I said hello, and he did as he always did and touched his cap and carried on up the road. Chatting to my brother just, he said to me, over a hundred people turned out for the funeral, and I asked 'what funeral' he said the old guy who used to keep the ironmongers shop, so i said oh god, i only spoke to him last Thursday too, and my brother said, you'd would have had a job, he's been in hospital the last five months with pancreatic cancer.

I definitely didn't dream it, I broke a nail on the gate clip and was just about to let fly with a juicy word or six, when I spied him coming up the lane!

i certainy wouldnt scoff at the thought of ghosts.....

nothing about that, he said had to go, that the baby was crying and he was trying to juggle the kettle, and the formula and the baby's bottle whilst holding the mobile to his ear with his shoulder!! (Mum was in the bath, apparently!)
