orchid growing leaves on flower stem?
3 Answers
My mums orchid has grown two leaves on the end of a flower stem. Also it is growing what looks like a couple of roots behind the two leaves. Anyone know anything about orchids, as I don't know what to do with it?

They put out many aerial roots to gather moisture from the air & like humidity. Sometimes potted ones have roots hanging over the edge & appreciate regular misting with tepid rain water (or cooled boiled water). You can usually tell which are flower stems as they are dk green whereas roots are light grey/brownish.
