1 this lady has a heart of stone (6)
2 look through the mist to see this lady
3 an old Favourite for the Pot
4 a vegetable / herb with connections in Tuscanny
many thanks, I also had Rosemary but wasn't sure why clue said "vegetable", no I have a problem as I already have Nigella as answer to "this ragged lady is celebrity cook" as proper name for ragged robin is nigella damascena
I think touchstones answer is right for question 2 as Love in the Mist is the common name for Nigella Damascena and not the Ragged Robin. Another name for Ragged Robin is Polly Baker if that helps.
many thanks for all help, agree about love in the mist (or ragged lady as it's also called could be nigella but then what would you put for "this ragged lady is celebrity cook" and still very stumped on 1
Ragged lady (Bot.), the fennel flower (Nigella Damascena) also called love-in-the-mist (ragged lady - Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48) :
huge apologies .. just realised I forgot to put number of letters with questions
Q2 has 5 letters, Q3 has 8 (so marigold must be right) and Q4 is 8 so again I think it must be rosemary (even if not really a veg) ..... the other question about ragged celebrity chef has 7 letters so I think it must be Nigella .. so just leaves me with 1 & 2 to solve
1 to 9 of 9
Do you know the answer?
