I know it should be in Travel, but what the heck ,this is the best place. I'm off to stop near Lindisfarne in a couple of days for a week. Has anyone been to the Farne Islands? I've googled it and it sounds great. Any personal experiences?

If you like Kippers drop into Craister and try them straight from the smokehouse and Rick Stein did a special from the pub there. Plus lots of things to do and places to see like Bamborrough Castle, Alnwick, Berwick I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself
Try Linhope Spout right at the end of Ingram valley:

Trust me, mention the name Shell anywhere in the Beamish valley and everyone will know who you mean: http://en.wikipedia.o...andon,_Northumberland
Well, if castles are your thing, I'd suggest these two:
