Why doesn`t the aol toolbar now inform me when I have e-mails?

Hi looobs, nice to hear you're still around, haven' seen your pretty face lately, (bet it's not you anyway) On Sunday I looked at my e-mail and found I had six waiting to read but no alerts on the toolbar, and I`ve still had no luck with my avatar so...f*** it.

im not sure why youre not getting the email alerts then?
theres live technical help you can go on to and someone from aol will probably be able to help you.
oh right, so you doubt the pic is of me... why do you say that bill??
the pic is def me, i can assure you that, and it was taken just a few months ago.......
