My flatbed scanner has gone funny!

I can scan fine no probs at 200dpi (RGB colour mode) but when I try and scan at 300dpi the pre-scan looks fine, but the actual scanned image comes out all luminous colours!


What's wrong? Is it proper broken??

sounds like the scanner is broke to me, but i wouldn't claim to know enough about the way they work, you could probably get it fixed but these days is it not cheaper to get a new one?
