...........this Saturday, 5th June, there will be a fly-past over Plymouth Hoe by a Fairey Swordfish to mark the 70th anniversary of the loss of HM Ships Glorious, Acasta and Ardent. Go along and see an icon of the war at sea. The Swordfish was the plane that attacked the Bismark and sank the Italian fleet at Tarranto. Afterwards, get yerself into The Yardarm me 'arties and have a drink with us. Arrr!

I made an airfix model of a fairey swordfish if it's the one with a huge torpedo slung underneath. Plymouths a bit far so have a rum or two for me.
I wish I lived close enough to take you up on your offer both to watch the fly pass and to join you for a pint. We live in Notts and over the years we've seen the BBMF out of Coningsby fly over several times and believe me the sound of those merlins can stop the traffic dead, it really is something special to see.
I will be in Southampton, any chance of seeing it from there?
I fairy going through Plymouth with a huge torpedo slung underneath will certainly attract alot of attention.
