I dont know if its a him/her & cant find a nest, tho I have put up a box in an unused outhouse. There is a logpile under the tree where I dispose of kitchen waste to feed mice, for the owl.

Dont like names for wild things as that's domesticating them !

I reared 7 kestrels from chicks. Their habitat was disturbed by development....I released them.

I have a photo somewhere of them, perched on a the broom stick installed above washing machine......okay, I am mad :)

I bet that was interesting to watch the kestrals grow, wildlife is fascinating. That reminds I do like a bit of bird watching I shall take my binoculars to the beach today.
what a shame the only thing on the end of my broom is fluff.
