What to do in the summer holidays?

Seeing as i'll have a longer summer holiday this year and i always get bored in one that only 6 weeks long what should i keep myself busy with?

I'll try and find a job, but that'll only be part time.

At cadets, you can get a badge and points (which i need to become a leading cadet) for learning 6 tunes (completely off by heart) on an instrument (glokenspeil, drums or bugel) and they've lent intruments to people in the past so perhaps do that . . . .

The village isn't that small, its just it's all comuter houses with a couple of ammenities. But it is between two towns but the nearest one is £5 there and back and if its only part time work I might spend half my wages on travel.

Ok you may spend some money getting out and about to earn it, but you'll not be at home getting bored
