Well, it's said to be the equivalent of Newcomen's steam engine or the invention of the silicone chip. I am no expert but this guy seems to be being credited as the catalyst of the next technological revoloution.

I think its impossible to have just one genius, most genius's will have a specialised field whether it be astronomy, science or engineering to name a few. one genius would have to be multi skilled in all these area and significantly moreso than someone studing in the field exclusively
