why is this error message caused and how to easily

resolve this issue

this error message could mean anything, where do you get the error message is the first thing i'd need to know, as far as a few google results show the problem seems to be with norton?

according to symantec the following should fix it

however a few forum posts elsewhere i have just read indicate that it wont, one suggestion from a poster is to ditch norton, not a bad idea in my personal opinion lol, hope this helps in anyway, snipe!
