we bought her a brand new cabin bed (we're doing up her bedroom). And we took her old bed down but wouldn't let her see the new bed as it was being put up as we wanted to see her face when she saw her play area under it etc.

To get her off the scent so to speak, we told her that her old bed was broken and that we wasn't gonna bother getting her new one, she could have a blanket on the floor.

To our mortification she burst into tears and wouldn't be consoled!

My eldest daughter when i told her what had happened said that me and Mr Boo were twisted and it was just like time we bought her an iron for Christmas. Apparantly we're mean parents :-(

I suppose I should confess to buying my daughter a spirit level for Christmas.

she walks into a room and wants to straighten hanging pictures.
Will she tell her school teacher that she is sharing the cat's/dog's basket? We only had a cardboard box - and it had been left out in the rain. What me and big sis would have done for a blanket......................................
....and
indoors too I suppose?

crikey no, im warped, not mental! If id have given elder Boo a sewing machine at 14, she'd have sewn the dog to her jeans or something.

Bless her ,she's blonde.

We are talking about the girl who asked me the other week what size nappies should she get for my grandson who's due to arrive soon!!!

I dread to think of the stories she tells her class teacher ttfn! I'm utterly amazed we havn't already had the social services knocking Especially during her first week at school she loved it that much (and still does) she burst into tears each day i collected her as she wanted to stay.
Are you excited Boo? (ps. I called my first grandchild Boo as a nickname, she's 6 now and it still sticks)
I do that too sara in other peoples homes, pubs - wherever and whenever. Went to a friends at Christmas and they had a new huge flat screen t.v. They were obviously proud of it. When invited to comment on it I merely replied that they hadn't set it up properly because the top of the set dipped (ever-so-slightly) from left to right. After arguing with me the hubby got his spirit level from the garage and checked it. Their floor wasn't level. I rest my case
Poor child but funny stuff - I would have probably done the same thing lol. Kids eh?
ttfn, very pleasing.. well done!
Lmao! If I ever become a mum, I'm going to have you as the goal to live up to!
I got a potatoe peeler one christmas. But before we'd got those rubbish ones and it was a better one but i still wasn't very ammused - mum is the kitchen scivvy.
