are you sad to see her leave GMTV? I'm not. And I sincerely hope Garraway, Crosby and Kelly will soon follow her out of the door.

i never watch GMTV so was pleasantly surprised to see Penny pop up on Have I Got News For You last night. She's a lot more attractive than their usual guests.
we'll miss, her what a great character, good luck penny xx
I watched GM TV today and think its a shame Penny has gone - she is bright and witty and she looks great for 51 years of age.

They should have put Lorraine Kelly out to pasture - this woman is soooooo annoying.

Hiya Helen - I do to - I could'nt believe it when they said she was 51. I don't think she is married or has children (that could be your secret - ha ha ha) (:0 D
The ghastly Christine Bleakley may still be tempted to come to GMTV to join Adrian Chiles. All the old gang leaving for replacements like that. I will be watching morning BBC instead.
I like Penny Smith myself as she always came across as a down to earth Lady.
Maybe a bit bonkers but likeable.
Hi DEN53, how are you ?
Afternoon Redman - not doing too well at the moment - very stressed - I am having a rare day at home today, catching on stuff.

Hows you ?
^^^ up ^^^
I'm fine at present thanks DEN, sorry if things are not too good for you. Stress is not a nice problem at all DEN so hope all your problems will soon get sorted as your own health is the most important thing you know ! x
Thanks Red - things have come to a head this week - my little shoulders have finally gave way - I actually broke down in tears on the phone to Social Services about my Mum - (this is soooo not me). Next week we have Mr. Den's hospital appointment - so I am praying its nothing serious.
It's not nice to see one's own Parents ageing and not being able to cope as they used to, unfortunately the burden then falls on other shoulders DEN such as yourself.
Apart from that you have your own worries with your immediate Family and the two combined is a hard cross to bear.
You badly need a break DEN, have you a brother or sister who are able to help out ?
I too like Penny and will be sorry to see her go!!

I'd much rather that Kate Galloway left in her place.
No Red - I am an only child - my Mum has vascular dementia and my Dad is her main carer, but with me as the back up support. I normally drive over to them in East London about 3 times a week - but speak to them on the phone every morning and evening - my Dad off loads his stress onto me and this week it has come to a head.

I try and take a step back, but unfortunately this just is not possible.

Anyway, enough of my problems - thanks for asking Redman. Much appreciated.
Good luck to you DEN, your Parents are very lucky to have such a caring daughter.
It's taking its toll so take care and look after No1......x
Den I am so thinking about you & your mum & your dad too, I am ancient now ( 85)
My wife had vascular dementia, but finally passed away 2 years ago she became bedridden Christmas 2007 & with the help of brilliant district nurses & social services I nursed her for 3 months, we had been together for 58 years & I loved her so much, sorry the tears are making my keyboard wet.I have a lovely daughter like you Den & I live with her & her husband now, they have made me so welcome in their home. Please keep going as best you can, all my love. Ron.
I shall miss Penny, she was (is) hot, and a great uplift first thing in the morning.
Ah well, there's always the weather girls.
Hiya Whiskeryron - I have only just come back online and seen your reply - you are most probably in bed now, but thank you for sharing your experience about your dear wife and vascular dementia. Its a cruel disease, stripping a once bright woman of her dignity.

I would love the benefit of your experience and perhaps we can talk on another post sometime. My Dad is also named Ron.

Den xx
