Hi, I'm running Win98 second Ed.

I recently added a user to my computer and inadvertently allocated files twice over. I now show that twice the amount of space on my hard disk is used up compared to previous. From 3.5 to 7.0 gig, on a 30 gig disk,

I have no need to duplicate these files and wish to recover my disk space. Can anyone help me please?

regards,

the easiest way to do it to make sure all the settings work afterwards would be to remove the user, then re-add the user but make sure you select the option not to duplicate files, i havent used 98 myself for some files but have access to it if you require further help, just let me know.
