Although the speaker of the quote was a knucklehead, he was expressing an essential truth - not sure what the problem is with the quote (as opposed to the quotee...)

On a visit to China Richard Nixon said "What a great wall"
Nixon said "I think you would have to conclude that this is a great wall and it must have been built by a great people". The media conveniently forgot to report the second bit.
