Why the interest?

Beethoven wrote the most exquisite music for piano.

The Moonlight Sonata is one of those pieces that sounds almost clichéd, until you sit down and listen to it with a glass of wine, and the balcony doors open, and you realise what a stunningly wonderful piece of music.

I have to say ... Sonata Nr. 2 is not one of my favourite bits of Beethoven.

My piano teacher asked me to listen to two different recordings from the same piece but different people. I got confused because when i typed in the piece on youtube, it came up with extra numbers in the title, like opus.... etc. Thank you guys :)

p.s i agree, moonlight sonata is an amazing piece, however, i am not massively into beethoven. Chopin is my fav (etude no.3)
