Poorly salix
4 Answers
Tried asking in the gardening section and got no replies so am trying in the main section:-
Bought a salix in a pot and it seemed fine at first, but has gradually developed black leaves. (These started before the monsoon we've had recently.) Any tips pease? Or should I just take it to one?! TIA.

It's an arbuscula which I bought from a car boot sale (a reliable bloke from whom I've bought loads before, with no problem). It has been standing under a tree so it could be the sooty mould, but having checked the pics of black canker I fear the worst! Will give it another day or so, but could be R.I.P. salix. Helpful replies, much appreciated.
