as for the shopping, massive primark if thats your thing, loads of designer shops, and the arndale. or you could hop on the tram to the trafford centre

There's a great tapas bar on Deansgate, right next door to the Wetherspoons.

There's a Harvey Nichols and a Selfridges near Victoria station just a few mins walk from the arndale , near the Big Wheel, you'll not miss it!

I have to stop away with work quite a lot and love Chinese food and have tried chinese restaurants , from China Town in Newcastle -upon -Tyne to Letchworth in Bedfordshire and Wings is one of the best - first choice when in Manchester for me
