Goose Poo Fertilizer

I've been told that goose poo makes excellent fertilizer when soaked in water. So far I've suspended a pillow case full in a bucket of water, but does anyone know how long it should soak for and what the dilultion rate would be? This was a tip heard from an elderly gentleman who sadly is no longer with us.

When I was in Navy momalito the ship I was on used to load a full cargo of Guarano (Bird Sh*t) from an island in the Pacific called Nauru. Very good fertilizer and can be used wet or dry as the rain will soak it into the ground.....

Unfortunately Canadas are so successful they crowd out more desirable birds, the goose poo makes great plant food though I used to sweep up a bucket load and dump it in a dustbin of water , diluted a plastic cup ful to a watering can great for freshening up the flowerbeds (real ones)

I put my method on the shooting ducks thread in chatterbank only today, I don't bother putting it in a pillowcase though I jast put a bucket load in a dustbin of water and leave it for about a week, then a plastic cup of the liquid to a watering can of water. beware it stinks to high heaven though. Once the dustbin is nearly empty tip the left overs on the comppost heap

Thank you all so much for your answers. I've taken them all on board so hopefully my garden will be blooming this year.... I'll leave the geese to fertilize the grass..... they're very good at that unfortunately!! And yes, I agree Rowanwitch - it does stink!
