Hello my lovely AB friends
I hope you don't mind me moaning again! My alopecia has got a lot worse - I'm now losing hair on my sideboards (I'm female) and my son tells me the sides and back of my head patches are getting a lot bigger.
My 11 yr old daughter came in tonight crying because she was getting teased relentlessly by some horrible older girl (my girl has had total alopecia since age 2 1/2, but I've never had it before)
I know I'm whinging and I feel like a twit, but will it all go? If it does, I will cope, because my daughter has a lot more to cope with than me. But she is pretty! lol
Anyway, on a serious note, I've got tests for me iron deficiency and blood clotting disorder in the next couple of weeks. Then waiting on the results of them to see if I can get the hysterectomy. Just for info.

Hi H-mum. I had alopecia once. I was seeing my G.P. on another matter but showed him my bare patch, which he confirmed to be aloepecia. I asked him if he had any advice about and he replied not to go out in windy weather. Don't get me wrong, he is a lovely doctor and we just laughed about it. I had other health issues to worry about so just carried on as before and the hair did grow back after a few months. I did wonder if it would re-occur - my mother had it to a greater extent - but no more to date. My mother's hair grew back too, albeit softer than the rest of her head. I hope this happens for you too. Regards ttfn
H-mum - My heart goes out to you and your daughter, it must be awful for you and especially your daughter (other kids can be cruel) They say time heals and I think it does as I suffered from this for a couple of years but all is well now. You have a lot of stress going on in your life right now, I think in the fullness of time things for you & your daughter will definately improve, its just that waiting period that is soo stressfull. My best wishes to you both and hope things improve soon.
