I'd take my OH to the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors. Possibly lunch at the Magpie Cafe in Whitby, or maybe one of those lovely pubs in the Dales.

I'd go first class rail up to Scotland, then take the train along the coast to Kyle of Lochalsh. But it would have to be a guaranteed sunny day as it's miserable in the rain!
