Booked the wrong date return.

Two of my sisters & one of my brothers couldn't afford to fly from belfast to brum for my mums funeral on wednesday, so I said I'd book it using my overdraft, which I did. I intended to book a flight from belfast to birmingham on wednesday 2nd & return later the same day...I admit I got all confused & didn't notice until it was confirmed that I had infact booked the return journey for JULY 2nd! Is there any way of changing this? or will i have to rebook? Not sure my overdraft will stretch that far :(

All depends on the airline you booked with. If it's Ryanair NO WAY can you change it without paying them for doing it. I'd phone the airline.

oh, poor Jo, with enough on your plate already. Like coccinelle says, get on the phone to the airline and explain, but don't expect too much sympathy from the cheaper ones.

You've not stated which airline you've booked with. FlyBe operate to Birmingham from Belfast City. BmiBaby operate from Belfast International.

FlyBe's website states this:
"Changes made online will be charged at GBP25 / EUR40 / CHF55 per passenger, per single flight sector plus any difference in fare. No refunds will be given if the fare for the new flights is lower. Changes made through the Call Centre will be charged at GBP30.00 / EUR45 / CHF75 per passenger, per single flight sector plus any difference in fare"

I booked bmibaby! they could change my flights for an extra £253 which i didn't have! & they couldn't give me a refund either :( so 2 sisters & a brother missed the funeral & I'm down £427! but hey ho :(
