In 1974, for an anniversary, the first husband bought me a bottle of Joy by Jean Patou, which at the time was supposedly the most expensive perfume in the world.....it smelled like cat pee......
Hugo red
Lulu
Cool Water for women (I don't know what my skin does to that but damn it smells bad!)
Probably the entire calvin klien Range.
Most things by Paul Gautier & pretty much anything by a celeb (they all smell the same!)
Most Elizabeth Arden
Chanel No 5 (now technically I like this, it smells nice on the man hostages mum, again, squirted it on me and I smell like a tarts bouedoire).
Poison Hynotic but not made keen on the others either
Amirage
Any Gucci Envy that is a spin off from Gucci Envy without actually being just plain old envy....
Anais Anais
Anything that smells to vanilery (except on my friend Lydia who really suits sweet smells).
I am going to be so screwed if they stop making Envy!
Red Door. My mum is convinced I love it and buys me a bottle every Xmas - at the moment I have 4 unopened upstairs. I wore it to work one day and everyone kept commenting that there was a smell of pee :)
I Love the original perfume, but dont like all the 'offspring'
Channel No 5 smell alful, dont understand what the fuss is about, its a cheap headache perfume (I suppose thats what some people think of Poison)
My favs are XS pour Elle, closly followed by Noa and Fleur d'intredit
I hate it when a perfume I like is discontinued though,I know I can get it SOMEWHERE on line but I would rather be able to just buy when I see.
I am glad I am not the only one to not like No 5 though, thought there was something wrong with me whenI thought EUGH!!
Obsession, Poison, Red Door, , Pretty much everything else by Calvin Klein, Narcisse, anything really heady,,and the ones that followed all seemed to smell like a combination of fruit salad and candyfloss in fact almost everything that came out of the 90s and early 00s. Some of the old citrus colognes can trigger really bad headaches for me O de Lancome was one, I also find most of the celeb perfumes really in your face and lack subtlety
I had a celeb perfume given to me at xmas J Lo, don't like it much, I keep it in the loo as an air freshner.. All those Yardlet ones from years ago are awful, my old Mum used to use Freesia.
Has anyone else noticed the perfumes of today are sticky too, what is that?
Not a specific perfume, but hate it when women are too liberal with perfume.......i.e. when you get within 5 feet of her and the pong overpowers you........less is more girls!
Also women who apply perfume in the wrong places......i.e. on their necks - kissing a womans neck and tasting her perfume is not a nice experience
