If so, why can we enter things like the world cup just as England, but be gb for eurovision and the olympics?

Yeah but we don't even count as proper seperate countries.
It's the United Kingdom and Ireland in Eurovision. Great Britain for the Olympics.

They are very much separate countries! I'd love to see you try and argue with nationals that Wales, Scotland and Ireland are not separate countries!

Just because a team of one country doesn't play, it doesn't mean they don't exist they just didn't qualify.
Next year there is going to be a Great Britain footie team, who would you pick for that?
Steve do you not mean Northern Ireland?

We're not fully independant because of stuff like the government and queen. Dot, if this had happened sooner, I'd have put Giggs in a British team, he's still playing but I don't know if he's not as good as he used to be. How old is he?

Anyway, Wales only has a couple of premiership teams, who play with England, which is why they never get through as the play internationally you have to play for a countries equivilent of the premiership.
he's just won the footballer of the year mollie.
