They then went on to talk about people who don't wash at all, and do the same rules apply, But thats another story.
Chessman is correct. This was done on a program called Body matters a few years ago. A girl was asked to not wash her hair for 6 months except just rinsing in only water. After 6 months the hair had restored to the original design, ie self cleaning and conditioning, it looked like one of those l'Oreal ads, stunning. Initially though it does look and smell awful. It takes a bit of endurance to get to that stage but I reckon once he gets to 6 months he'll never have to wash it again.
Now you're going to tell me he hasn't washed it for a year!
