I work with a lot of churches, mainly Church of Scotland. Most of them use either pen and paper or an Excel spreadsheet to keep their own records. The Church of Scotland have standard accounts formats on their Extranet site that are pretty good for producing stat format accounts but they aren't for book-keeping. And to be honest they must be extremely daunting for a non-professional accountant to look at.
