My husband had a rhurbarb plant for fathers day, he did askfor it...........

anyway we have been to a chicken farm and they gave us some chicken manure. Will this be ok to put in a big hole and plant the rhurburb in it.?

I checked because I'd heard that it's a bit strong to use direct on plants, this says you need to mix with compost, not plant direct into it.
It will be just fine, but when you open the Curtains in the morning and everywhere seems dark, the Rhubarb plant will have grown out of control. Cut it down if this happens...

Ive been advised by the rural gents in the pub -best to plant in a bucket in order to contain it or it will be the bane of your life !!
No you can never have too much rhubarb
with sugar to dab it into:)
