Well, Prudie, apparently Sid went out jogging and just collapsed. When he seemed to be away a long time, Jolene went to look for him, saw an ambulance and a crowd of people, and found that Sid had suddenly passed away.
Now, my question: has the actor who played Sid passed away also, or did he just want out of the Archers?

thanks for the apology, even i when i heard the news it was sad and well acted by Buffy Davis (Jolene) when she broke the news to Fallon, the Bull will now be very differant.

I wonder why the writers have written him out - did the actor want to leave
Also did the actress who plays Kathy read the news on the Today programme this morning
Finally - has Phil's will been read yet - I seem to remember a couple of arguments about it when he changed it - mostly from Kenton and Elizabeth - wish they would kill both them off

did you know there is going to be an archers event this saturday (19th) at Malvern, where you can meet members of the cast, if your interested you can find out more information at, archers addicts website, if you book say you heard about it on answerbank

Oh no I don't think I would like to meet them. I met Lynda Snell once at a radio recording for Poetry Please (Alison Steadman was in the audience too) She was really nice but not like Lynda. So was Alison Steadman too

i have met the cast before, who are attendeding this and they are great fun, for the record some of those who should be there are Kathy, Pat, David, Ruth, Jolene, Eddie, Susan.
