Following my last post, we cleared out the viv and bought some new decoration, which seems to have cheered him up a bit!! My next question is - is there any other food that we can offer him other than dead mice? I know that these are the standard thing, but i've heard that they can eat pieces of fish etc - is this correct??

Hi, glad to hear he's doing better. One of ours would take a bit of steak from your hand but not very often. If he's still just settling in I'd stick to the mice.

I would be very careful with 'a piece of fish'. Much better to stick to small rodents, as Lisa says.

I know you have a heatpad (working??) but sometimes a small heatlamp for a few hours at daytime is more appreciated as this replicates the sun.

Familiarise yourself with the Vets in your area so you know which one has experience with reptiles.
