Jake, it's a very interesting study, but looking at the fidelity issue, do you really think any woman here who possesses a high IQ would be silly enough to admit that the findings are accurate? ;o)

I am qualified to respond to your questions as a woman but with a high IQ is seriously questionable? But nevertheless....you can't discriminate...so...

There's always a link of something or other to IQ, vegetarianism is also linked in article. I think its pretty conventional to say that 'unconventional preferences' would require a thinking against the normal structure hence greater thought and analysis would be required which may appeal to people of IQ.

Personally I think it's more down to the social environment in which one is raised, the education and knowledge they attain during their life, I wonder does IQ fluctuate as well? And where does emotional intelligence fit into this measurement of IQ?

And the article says that 'having one partner has always been advantageous to women.' Again that is more a reflection of societial values however I agree with the article that it is more advantageous for women to get around abit.

Obviously men are better off with one partner because they need some structure in their lives and a strong sense of being the male role model provider and all the rest of the cr@p they come out with.

well I'm in Mensa Jake but I don't think anyone would accuse me of being a liberal. I am however faithful and an athiest.
