For several weeks or more I have had some tingling in both my arms. It seems to be on both forearms and the tops of my hands. It is not painful.
I have had some pain in both my shoulders due to 'ligament problems' but this is not a constant problem and seems to get worse/better depending upon what position my cats allow me to sleep in. When the shoulders are sore the pain is severe. My GP checked me out and told me to keep moving my shoulders and to take painkillers.
I have recently been officially diagnosed with diabetes but have been on Metformin for about 10 years due to Polycystic Ovaries. I also take medications for HBP, an SSRI anti-depressant and Lithium.
I am planning on going back to see my GP - but I want to be armed with facts first.
Anybody any idea what could be causing this problem?
Well it could be carpal tunnel syndrome, but it would have to be bilateral (both sides) which is unusual.
For me a better bet would be cervical spondylosis which would necessitate an MRI scan to confirm.
There are many other causes, but all rank outsiders, the above two being the odds on favourites.
