Aren't livers great?

When you think of all the toxins we pour into it day after day - fats, alcohol (in my case anyway). And every day it works overtime flushing them out. It does all that synthesisis thingy, is not snobby at all cos it has that common bile duct, and we cannot, literally, survive without it. I should treat mine with more respect.
I announce this National Liver Day. (well I would, but I shall be imbibing of the evil brew tonight, so maybe Monday then...)

I've actually been in theatre watching a liver transplant.... absolutely fascinating
I was the only one on the liver unit who could eat liver though...MMMMM with Bacon, onions, buttery mashed potato and rich gravy....probably my favourite meal

You should all take milk thistle & drink plenty of water to counteract all those nasty alcohol toxins. (Just like what I do..... yeah, when I remember).

Mine took a hell of a battering last night and Im paying the price today a friend told me to drink dioralyte before you go to bed but I course I didnt listen might try it next time but Im usually to well on to care about preventing the next days hangover.
