Just been Supermarket and strawberries are £1 99 and that is half price. I am sure I would not pay neary £4 for the same amount. Why do they make you think you are getting a bargain.

Thank you for replies even though they strayed to the spacestation but I always find a few more people that never knew about it.
At £1.99 it is still cheaper to buy at this price ..If you pick your own you normally pick many more than you really need..Don't you think?
I didn't know that there WAS a space station until I read your thread.

Thats why I keep posting as people dont know . If you are lucky when the shuttles are on way up and down you can see a double fly by. I have seen it twice and its spectacularGo to nasa tv and watch the shuttles take off live but next one is not till sept.
Yes you are right John I've only picked my own once, I ate quite a few as well, and I picked far too many for the two of us. It's OK for those who make jam I suppose.

I missed the shuttle tonight, (making a cuppa) I find it fascinating, how many people are working up there?

At the moment 6 on the spacestation. There are no shuttles landed on it at the mo next shuttle take off is sept
Hate the forced on strawberries that come from holland, massive and sour and tasteless, supermarket wise one of the nicest i have found is from the co-op,saying that they are scottish strawberries yum yum
Half price strawberries are only available while DFS have a sale on.
Question Author
Lol dfs have a sale all the year round . Keeps saying finishes 6 pm friday but what Friday
Question Author
yes poodicat not seen the scottish ones yet. They are lovely.
Yep wendilla, are raspberries are wonderful too,no jokes please lol
That reminds me. ^^One of our older ABers was on a thead yesterday telling us about a trip he went on, and the courier said that they hoped they lived long enough to see the end of the DFS sale. lol

Sorry I digressed. Those out of season strawberries don't taste of anything, just because they are big doesn't mean they will be sweet.
The Tesco ones that I scoffed earlier were gorgeous. They were from Angus which is not to far from my little bit of Scotland.

Yummy.
