That happened to me today - 3 times, so annoying. I have got round it by only highlighting max 4 photos at any one time. I do this often as I want to move photos from folder to folder - ending up with 4 copies is a real pain! I don't know why it does it, except that Copy is next to Cut on the drop-down... but if you only do a few at a time, it seems to work.

That was quick,I'll give it a try thanks!!
It's because you have accidentally moved the mouse while highlighting. Even a small movement will make the computer think that you want to drag and drop the files.

Well I never!!!!! Thanks squarebear.

PS you obviously have to move the cursor for selection via the mouse is it at the moment of "clicking" that you have to be careful???
