so, we have a caravan and love going away in it, must spend about half the year in it either here or abroad.
it's like a holiday apartment on wheels, has a bathroom with shower, flushing loo and washbasin, a bedroom with a full size double bed with sprung mattress, a kitchen with big fridge, 4 ring cooker with oven, microwave, proper china plates and proper glasses, lovely lounge area with 2 sofas and flat screen tv, fire and central heating.
we choose sites which have no clubhouse or shop so they're nice and quiet and peaceful, when we're abroad we're generally the only ones using the pool (we go may, june and september), we slob around doing what we want when we want to and generally have a great time.
so why the bad press for caravans? anyone else have one?

we went to minsmere rspb, carlton coleville nature reserve, benacre broad, southwold, snettisham, titchwell and other places that i've not named in my diary, just says what birds we saw.
we had a week in anglesey in the spring, hoping to see some puffins but we were too early as the bad winter had set them all back. went to northumberland the year before too, for the birding, and that's another wonderful area.
