Hi all,

By mistake I have upgraded my jailbroken 2g iphone to ios4 and now it says the sim is not supported.

I have followed just about every forum there is to downgrade the software and then jailbreak again but I am having no such luck, most of the time is says the firmware is encrypted. Other times the firmware is not supported.

Can anyone give me some advice on what to do?

Thanks

Excellent thank you very much for your help, I found this very useful information. Actually I am on call 24hours of th day 365 days of the year and so if I am in areas of poor signal I need to change to a sim card which might be able to deal better with the levels of signal and so the phone was jailbroken so I can chop and change as and when the time requires.
jailbreak it again i did mine in 10 mins using redsnow 9.4
ignore another-view hes not up to new tech
go into you tube theres lots of videos showing you how to downgrade and unlock /jailbreak
