I seem to be getting a lot of indigestion and I think its time I went to the docs for some help with the weight and the indigestion. You can't win, I was OK with the weight before I stopped,so I stopped to be healthier, but now I have gained almost 2 stone and I feel worst than I did. See the Doctor.
Its caused by a couple things. Smoking can be diuretic in nature so you are probably experiencing some bloating when readjusting to a normal balance in your body.
Second, nicotine speeds up your metabolism so some weight gain when stopping smoking is usual and nothing you should worry about.
Third, smoking impacts the digestive tract and can stimulate movement. You may be constipated due to this.
All of these issue will subside the longer you stay smoke/nicotine free.
