Update on toddler with rash/high temp etc

Morning all
Took my little girl to the GP this morning, as the rash she got on friday still hasn't gone or gotten any better - GP thinks probably an allergic reaction to penicillin, (even though she's had it before, with no side effects) but couldn't rule out a viral rash. He said stop the penicillin and give ethromyocin instead.
Hopefully this will sort out the rash, and put her in a better mood in time for our holiday on Saturday!
Any ideas how long this type of rash will take to disappear? - forgot to ask GP
