survival packs

I watch GMTV (i hang my head in shame..' and we were essentially advised to do as the americans and have survial packs in preparation for attack from say a drrrrty bomb. How pray does one protect oneself with a packet of water purifying tablets and a roll of masking tape. PLus should we be violated by a dirty bomb would you want to be left alive and alone, blinking into your dry food rations? Smacks of 'duck and cover' to me...

It seems to me to be they are upping the temperature of the propaganda stew so when it comes to the war people feel it was morally justified.

You do know that masking tape wont keep the posion out?? Theres no way you can make a room air tight with plastic sheets and some tape. so save yourself the 10 quid and spend it on a last beer!

Plus one would find it a tad uncomfortable in an air tight room.
